Silverdale House Kitchen

The client's design brief is a contemporary kitchen with soft, warm tones. Due to the height of the ceiling, any surface mounted or recessed light in this area would cause an unnecessary amount of light loss. To prevent light wastage, yet also keep the area well lit, small downlights (Fluxe) were recessed into the kitchen cabinetry. These black coloured mini downlights are unobtrusive and provide a bright, warm light for the task area. They also impress a triangular shape of light which accentuates the dark cabinetry whilst complementing the linear light on the splashback. The overall effect is an elevated design which is both economic and unassuming.
